This week Chelsea and Maddie come to you with a topic near and dear to their hearts. Having both experienced forms of domestic violence, they talk about how trauma can affect your relationship with horses. They cover some common trauma responses and how they have noticed they translate to working with horses. They converse about how to handle horses that have also experienced trauma and give some current examples of horses in Chelsea's barn that have been though traumatic experiences.

They explain that sometimes you're the toxic friend or partner and give insight on how to identify that within yourself. They talk about the necessary changes to fix that behavior and give real life examples to demonstrate how they have dealt with this topic. They touch on taking advice and criticism from others and when it's best to take a step back.
